Passenger held at airport for carrying bullets

Tirupati:  A Hyderabad-bound passenger was arrested on Wednesday at Tirupati airport for carrying 17 bullets of 9 size. According to the police, Ram Mohan Reddy, hailing from Nandyal of Kurnool district and working as a manager at a private firm in Tirupati, was carrying the bullets with him.
The bullets were recovered by the CISF personnel deployed at the airport while scanning the luggage. It was not clear whether the accused had valid licence to hold the bullets with him. Sources said he could not give a satisfactory explanation to the CISF personnel. The accused was later moved to the Yerpedu police station for further enquiry.
