The meeting held between representatives of P&W, Airbus, and Airline was held to discuss the progress made by P&W to fix the issues of No.3 bearing failure and combustion chamber failure in PW1100 engine leading to grounding of seven A320neo of IndiGo and two of GoAir

According to the DGCA officials, P&W informed that the modification done on “No.3 bearing” from April 2017 onwards had addressed the problem to some extent.

It also said that the new set of improved combustion chambers would be available post-October 2017.
